Jenny Hellen to join Allen & Unwin as New Zealand Publisher



Allen & Unwin is delighted to announce a new senior appointment to its New Zealand operation. Jenny Hellen will join the company in the newly created role of New Zealand Publisher.

Jenny has spent the past 15 years with Random House NZ, and is one of the most highly regarded and respected publishers working in the New Zealand industry today. She has an unsurpassed ability to match commercial with critical success, and this is hallmarked by her early and continued recognition for the sorts of stories that will draw New Zealand readers in.

In her current role as Deputy Publishing Director at Random House, she has been responsible for many of the bestselling non-fiction titles in the market. Authors that she has worked closely with and developed over recent years include Paul Henry, Ray Avery, Ian Grant, Louise Nicholas and Michael Hill. Her illustrated publishing success is second-to-none, and includes bestselling authors such as Jo Seagar, Al Brown, Josh Emett, Nadia Lim and Chelsea Winter, and bestselling titles The Big Quake and Earthquake!
