The Crime Writers’ Association are delighted to announce that historian
and television presenter Lucy Worsley will host this year’s Dagger Awards in
late June.
The event, which celebrates excellence in the genre of crime writing,
will see respected author Simon Brett be honoured with the Diamond Dagger, the
highest accolade the CWA can bestow.
Other awards that will be presented on the night include the
International Dagger, the Short Story Dagger, the Endeavour Historical Dagger,
the Non-Fiction Dagger and the CWA Debut Dagger.
The shortlists for the Daggers were revealed at CrimeFest in May and
tickets to the awards have now gone on sale. The shortlisted authors will have
the chance to rub shoulders and talk all things crime writing at the glittering
event in central London.
As well as being a chance to honour the best in crime writing, the event
is a great opportunity to enjoy good food, great company and to pick the brains
of the most talented authors in the crime writing genre. It’s an evening to be
missed at your peril so book now to avoid disappointment.
