Dear Friends, As a special addition to this year's program, the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival and The Body Shop are pleased to present:   Our Planet: Through Darkness to Light A day of FREE events that celebrate the environment   SUNDAY 13 OCTOBER 2013 10.00AM - 6.30PM at Fivelements Banjar Adat Baturning, Mambal, Bali 80352 Join Celia Gregory from the Marine Foundation, Rili Djohani of the Coral Triangle Center, environmental activist and The Body Shop Indonesia CEO Suzy Hutomo, environmental writer Harry Surjadi and orangutan rehabilitation expert Simon Husson for a journey across Bali’s coral reefs and Indonesia’s extraordinary forest and wildlife worlds. The day will be held at the majestic bamboo pavilion of Fivelements, an award-winning eco-conscious wellness retreat nestled alongside the Ayung River, a short drive from Ubud.   10:00am – 12:00pm Environmental Writing Workshop with Harry Surjadi 1.30pm – 3.00pm  Marine Sustainability with Rili Djohani and Suzy Hutomo 3.15pm – 4.45pm   Art and the Ocean with Celia Gregory 5.00 pm  –  6:30pm The Orangutan Project with Simon Husson More details about this free day of workshops and sessions are available on our website.
