It is just one month until Text Publishing begins the search for the
2013 winner of the Text Prize for Young Adult and Children's Writing?
The
Text Prize is an annual search for the best unpublished manuscript written by
an Australian or New Zealander for young adults or children. Past winners
include Richard Newsome for The Billionaire's Curse, Jane Higgins for The
Bridge, Leanne Hall for This is Shyness, Myke Bartlett for Fire
in the Sea and A.J. Betts for Zac & Mia.
The
Text Prize for Young Adult and Children's Writing is now in its sixth year and
the 2013 winner will receive a publishing contract with Text Publishing
worth $10,000.
One
key thing to note is that our entry dates have moved forward this year.
Entries
for this year's prize open on Monday 4 March and close on Wednesday 3 April.
