Writers Neel Mukherjee and M J Hyland (pic left) are among the judges on the panel for this year's Independent Foreign Fiction Prize.
The £10,000 prize is funded by Arts Council England, with support from the newspaper and Champagne Taittinger. The award is divided between the author and the translator of the winning novel.
"The Independent Foreign Fiction Prize is proving more and more influential each year in highlighting the best in translated fiction published in the UK,” said Antonia Byatt, ACE director of literature. "It’s brilliant to see so many exciting contenders on the list of submissions for 2011 and I’m very grateful we have such a distinguished and knowledgeable judging panel to guide us."
The longlist will be announced on 10th March, the shortlist on 11th April and the winner on 26th May.
