Voting will open on October 12 when the Inkys shortlists are chosen by the judges and annnounced. The judges this year are authors Randa Abdel-Fattah and Andrew McDonald and teenagers Broede Carmody, Esther Crowley, Hamish Knowles and Grace Bell.

As well as the Gold and Silver Inkys, there is also a Creative Reading Prize, won by a young person for a creative response to a book they love. This year the prize is an iPad!!! Creative responses can take any form including short story, song, video, poem, illustration, artwork or even a cupcake. The iPad prize will be awarded to the organisers favourite entry that comes from someone under the age of 20. Check out the full details here.
