01.09.10 - Victoria Gallagher - The Bookseller

Two debuts, two Bloomsbury titles and a Scandinavian crime writer have been selected as part of Richard and Judy's new book club, exclusive to W H Smith.

The eight titles selected for the book club are: Sister by Rosamund Lupton (Piatkus), A Place of Secrets by Rachel Hore (Pocket Books), The Snowman by Jo Nesbo (Vintage), The Wilding by Maria McCann (Faber), No and Me by Delphine de Vigan (Bloomsbury), Waiting for Columbus by Thomas Trofimuk (Picador), The Crying Tree by Naseem Rakha (Macmillan), and Operation Mincemeat by Ben MacIntyre (Bloomsbury).

The Richard and Judy Book Club will launch across W H Smith stores from tomorrow (2nd September) with a buy one get one free offer.

Rachel Russell, director of the W H Smith books business unit said: "This is an incredibly exciting time for book lovers. The new Richard and Judy Book Club is for everybody, with real recommendations on truly great books. We can't wait to hear what people think of them.

"W H Smith customers have been some of the biggest supporters of the previous Richard and Judy Book Clubs and we hope that they will share their reviews online and really get involved in what is set to become Britain's biggest virtual book club."

The pair will review one book every fortnight and post their reviews online at whsmith.co.uk/richardandjudy. On the website there will also be live interviews with authors and reviews from other readers.
