New kids' book to be launched at Weta Cave

The latest children's picture book to be illustrated by Weta Workshop artists will soon be launched at the Weta Cave.

The third book in the Champ the Chopper series will be launched by Weta managing director Richard Taylor on Sunday November 1 at 2pm at the Weta Cave in Miramar.
Good Work Champ sees the plucky little rescue helicopter brave a forest fire. Written by local author Rebekah Palmer, the illustrations are by Weta Workshop artist Chris Guise.
The first two books in the series, Champ the Chopper and Kids to the Rescue, have proved popular with pre-schoolers and early readers.

Author Rebekah Palmer says the Champ the Chopper Club is also very popular. “More and more kids join up every week. It’s lovely because they’re fantastically enthusiastic and it’s great to see young children really get into reading.”

“Good Work Champ is a wonderful story full of adventure and excitement,” says Richard Taylor. “Rebekah Palmer has once again created a compelling story and cast of characters for young readers to enjoy.”
The books will be available from all good booksellers.
