Oh no he dinnit!
Horror author and pop culture junkie, Stephen King, has put Twilight author, Stephenie Meyer, on blast. What could the man who is best known for stunning literary masterpieces like Pet Cemetary and Cujo possibly have to say about the new gothic mistress?

"The real difference is that J.K Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good."
Snap.
King is famously obssessed with J.K. Rowling, even going so far as to work portions and references to her Harry Potter series into his sprawling seven-book tome, The Dark Tower - a series that took him 30 years to complete.
This scandalous quote comes from an unreleased interview with Us Weekly.

Somehow, I don't think that the Twilight/Bella/Edward/Squee-ee-e legions are going to be swayed ... And what can Meyer say--"I see your 'can't write worth a darn' and raise you, oh, the top four books on the US besteseller list last year"?
Well, I applaud Mr King. He's absolutely right. Twilight is horrible and I judge anyone who actually likes that nonsense. The cheesy romance and bastardisation of the vampire genre combine with some of the worst writing in the young adult genre I've ever seen. BTW, it's actually called 'Pet Semetary' because it's meant to imitate a child's spelling.
So true, good for him, someone needs to come out and say it.
