Hachette Children's Group (HCG) CEO Hilary Murray Hill, is delighted to announce the appointment of Etta Saunders in the newly-created role of Global Brand Manager. Starting on 23rd November 2015, Etta will be responsible for the management of the Enid Blyton brand, working closely with the licensing and publishing teams to maximise opportunities for growth. She will report to Deputy MD, Clare Somerville.
Etta joins HCG from Frances Lincoln where she is currently Publishing Manager, Stationery and Gift Product. She began her career at Marvel Comics before moving into children's television and then on to mass-market publishing with companies including Parragon and Redan Publishing. Etta has a successful track record in developing and managing major licenced brands.
Commenting on her appointment, Etta Saunders says: "I grew up with Enid Blyton's fabulous characters and thrilling adventure stories. If I could have invented a job for myself as a child then this might well have been it. I can't wait to work with the Hachette Children's Group management team to implement the new and exciting strategies we have in store for this classic brand."
