Booksellers NZ Projects Manager, Megan Dunn tells the backstory of this year’s Christmas catalogue.

This year the Booksellers NZ produced Independent Summer Reading Catalogue is back and bigger than ever. Twenty-one independent bookstores are stocking the Indiebound-themed catalogue, which contains 122 titles from 21 publishers, and is a key sales and promotional tool for stores over the Christmas season.

The Summer Reading Guide is a membership service. We coordinate all aspects of the catalogue, including design and production on behalf of participating members.

Thus the print run for the catalogue has jumped up substantially from 180,000 catalogues in 2013, to over 226,000 catalogues in 2014.
