Greene to go digital with Random House

The bulk of Graham Greene's oeuvre is to become available as e-books. Twenty-four of his novels, including Brighton Rock, The Quiet American, Our Man in Havana, The End of the Affair and The Honorary Consul, will be published in e-book format on 2nd October, together with five volumes of short stories, plays and essays.

Random House said the e-books would be available on the Kindle, Sony Readers, iPhone, iPad and other mobile devices.

CCV m.d. Richard Cable said: "Graham Greene's work is a bedrock of the Vintage Classics list and it is a significant and exciting moment in the fast-developing digital world to be able to announce the publication of his titles into our e-book programme."

A further seven novels will become available as e-books in 2011.
