Amazon.co.uk launches author pages

Amazon.co.uk has launched hundreds of dedicated author pages, offering customers a full bibliography, recommended titles and videos. The pages went live this week and include the likes of Hilary Mantel, Stephenie Meyer, and Dan Brown (pic right).                                                                                     


Amy Worth, head of book buying at Amazon.co.uk, said: "It's like having a bookshelf of the author's titles on the website. It launched on Amazon.com a few months ago and proved a popular feature."

The page also links to items across other stores, like Twilight DVDs on the Stephenie Meyer page. Worth said: "It's a way of cross selling different products related to the author, whether it's similar authors or different products like dvds."

Worth added that Amazon was working to upload dedicated pages for every author.
