A handcrafted copy of J K Rowling's last major work is on display at the National Library during December.
This is a rare chance to see one of only seven copies of 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' produced in 2007. At the time the author did not intend it to be mass produced, and distributed the seven handwritten books privately.

Our borrowed copy is owned by Rowling's first editor, Barry Cunningham, (and a former colleague of Bookman Beattie's from Penguin Books days).

The Beedle book is a volume of wizard fairy tales owned by a character in the last book in the Harry Potter series.
Rowling launched the public sale of the tales on 4 December.
All proceeds go to the children's rights charity she co-founded, Children's High Level Group (CHLG).
