Writing New Zealand: People, Politics, Place
Aotearoa has long inspired powerful writing in all genres. From world-class, award-winning fiction, to ground-breaking historical analysis and urgent present-day contextualisation - the words inspired by the land continue to shape and inform our nation.
The annual MKWC residential workshop is an important opportunity for active New Zealand writers. Designed especially for experienced writers to hone their craft, it is a high-level, intensive symposium style seminar featuring some of the best talent in the country.
In our eighth residential workshop delegates will be exposed to a range of New Zealand’s finest writers, all of whom have grounded their work in the unique local setting. Each will contribute to the various discussions on why New Zealand-inspired content matters.
