Conflict. On a personal level it’s uncomfortable; on a civic and global scale it can have catastrophic consequences. Several of this year’s Festival guests have experienced the terror and hopelessness of unresolved conflict: UK's Emma Sky OBE, Israel’s Yossi Alpher, Palestine’s Suad Amiry, France’s Jean-Christophe Rufin, Chilean/Canadian Carmen Aguirre, and India's Samanth Subramanian are among those we are honoured to host as they share their wisdom and experience of war and global unrest.
