An appreciative crowd celebrated the launch of Unbreakable
Spirit by Karen McMillan last night at The Women’s Bookshop.
uests included
people who feature in the book, including surgeon Stan Govender who said a few
words, and oncologist Reuben Broom. The original publishers of Unbreakable
Spirit, Helen Benton and Bob Ross were also there, as well as many people from
the book industry.
Guests enjoyed music by guitarist Henry Thorrington, the
usual fabulous refreshments from the Women’s Bookshop owner Carole Beu, and
people in the book also signed copies for guests, along with the author Karen
McMillan.
People commented on the warm and welcoming feel to the evening. A
great time was had by all.
