Pacific Highways: A Spotlight on New Zealand

Contemporary New Zealand is undergoing a period of profound change. Migration from across the Asia Pacific region is reshaping the country, with Auckland now said to be the most multicultural city in Australasia. To celebrate this Kiwi renaissance, Lloyd Jones and Julianne Schultz have co-edited Pacific Highways, the latest edition of the Griffith REVIEW. Pacific Highways explores and maps the new New Zealand in the words of the country’s finest writers, including Lloyd Jones, Rod Oram, Finlay MacDonald, Kate De Goldi, CK Stead, Stephen Braunias, Bernard Beckett, Hinemoana Baker, Emily Perkins, Gregory O’Brien and many, many more.

New Zealand Festival Writers Week
