A new and elegant way to make an exquisite book

Geoff Blackwell writes:

Our brand new book creation app, released today, combines a smart book-making experience with uncompromising production values that result in a beautifully crafted book, made the old-fashioned way with finest quality paper, linen binding and center-stitching that will last for decades.

By way of background, may I introduce myself as the founder of PQ Blackwell, a book publisher with a long history of originating and producing award-winning books for publishers in around 40 countries. Our photographer authors include notables such as Albert Watson, Elliott Erwitt, Platon, Andrew Zuckerman and Tim Flach, and our non-fiction authors include the late Nelson Mandela with whom we originated three books, including Conversations With Myself, which has been published in 33 languages and features a foreword by Barack Obama.

At the heart of our company is a deep belief in the enduring beauty and value of books. We cherish technology, but unlike megabytes of text floating in the intangible ether of the Internet, books remain beautiful tactile objects that have enormous symbolic power and lasting value.  We love books and we produce ours with a great deal of care.

The MILK Books app is free to download and enables users to create and print their own customized Photo Books simply and easily directly from their iPad. It is available now at the iTunes store.
