Fodor’s Travel, an imprint of Random House, has relaunched its line of city guide iOS apps. The apps — which includes city guides to New York, Paris, London, Rome, Barcelona and San Francisco — have new features and are now free.
AppNewser has more: “The apps, which are powered by developer Red Foundry’s new Fusion platform, are aimed at making the user experience easier. For example, there are interactive offline maps so that you don’t have to pay data fees while trudging around. In addition, the apps include integration with partners including: Expedia Affiliate Network, OpenTable and TicketsNow, so that users can book travel, dinner and entertainment all from within the app.”
Amanda D’Acierno, VP and Publisher of Fodor’s, stated: “We are thrilled to be offering our new free Fodor’s City Guide apps, providing travelers with instantaneous access to our expert recommendations, making booking a fantastic hotel, memorable restaurant, or hit show simple and easy.”
