The Bookman in his office/library
The above photograph of Bookman Beattie taken by New Zealand Herald photographer Sarah Ivey, and reproduced with the Herald's permission, appeared in Canvas magazine distributed with the Weekend Herald on 5 May, 2012. It was The Book issue of Canvas published to mark the Auckland Writers and Readers Festival which gets underway Thursday evening with The Listener Gala Night at Auckland's Aotea Centre.
