Lauraine Jacobs is considered the doyenne of NZ food writers, including a long stint as editor of Cuisine magazine. Her latest books include: Comfort: Food for Sharing (Starship Foundation cookbook) and A Treasury of New Zealand Baking. In the prestigious 2010 Gourmand Awards, this wonderful baking for breast cancer cookbook was also deemed the best ‘Fund Raising, Charity and Community Cookbook’ in the Pacific.

Join us for a fantastic line-up to celebrate NZ children's writing and illustrating, featuring Tessa Duder, Paula Green, Mark Sommerset, and Stacy Gregg!
Tessa Duder (pic right) is an iconic NZ children's author, and she will be reading from Jellybean which tells the story of a lonely girl, Geraldine, nicknamed Jellybean, who has an unconventional single mother - she's a professional musician who plays in a jazz band!
Paula Green is a well-known poet and author of Macaroni Moon and Other Poems and Aunt Concertina & Her Niece Evalina among other books.
Stacy Gregg is the author of the bestselling Pony Club Secrets and Pony Club Rivals series of chapter books about horses.
Mark Sommerset is well-known for his picture book: Cork On the Ocean. Mark enjoys making up stories and gettin' down with his guitar. His two new books are The Silliest Dream and Baa Baa Smart Sheep (shortlisted for this year's NZ Post Children's Book Awards!).
