MANY AS ONE - Artwork for Christchurch

I hope this letter finds you well and your loved ones safe and sound.

Those of us living within-reach-but-at-a-distance from friends and family in Christchurch have been feeling oddly disoriented and at a loss re what we can do to make a difference.

I invite you to participate in MANY AS ONE - Artwork for Christchurch.
This web-based earthquake appeal has been up and running for just over a week now - details are outlined on my blog http://www.icelines.blogspot.com/ .
The intention is to post a small drawing or art object on this site each Monday for the foreseeable future (works will be small - sketchbook size - for easy mailing). If you would like to take part, you will find an orange 'donate' button on the right-hand side of the page - no amount too small. At the end of each week, donators' names will be popped into a hat and the person whose name is drawn will receive an artwork. Proceeds will be transferred directly into Christchurch's Mayoral Fund to assist the community there.

The Artist's Room gallery has generously offered to donate matts (materials & matt-cutting service) for these artworks for as long as this initiative is active.

Please pass the word on/forward this email to your mailing lists? The wider we cast our net, the better. . . And if you have anything - a small artwork, a book of poems, etc. . . - that you would like to put forward for the Many as One 'stock room', please email me on clarab@earthlight.co.nz .

Many thanks
Claire
