Nicholas Clee, joint Editor of BookBrunch, last night won Best New Writer at the British Sports Book Awards, for Eclipse (Bantam Press). The top award, for Best Autobiography, went to Andre Agassi's acclaimed Open (HarperCollins), co-written with Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter J R Moehringer; and Duncan Hamilton (Harold Larwood, Quercus) added the Best Biography prize to his William Hill Sports Book of the Year victory.
