Abrams announce the appointment of UK International Sales Director
London, September 21st, 2009—Abrams, the pre-eminent publisher of high-quality art and illustrated books has announced the appointment of David Gooding in a newly-created role as UK International Sales Director, based out of its London office. Gooding was most recently Sales and Marketing Director (Asia Pacific and Middle East) of Singapore-based Apa Publications, publishers of the world's leading travel and language learning brands, Insight Travel Guides and Berlitz Publishing.
Previously, David was based in London where he spent over 10 years at Transworld and Random House. There he launched Computer Step for Random House and was Publisher of IDG Books at Transworld where he launched the For Dummies, Frommer Travel and Cliff Notes series in the UK and Europe.
"David's extensive experience and skills in managing publishing brands and maximizing sales and marketing initiatives across numerous International markets will be a wonderful addition to the Abrams UK team," adds Chuck Lang, Managing Director of Abrams UK.
David Gooding joins the company on October 6th, 2009 and will be with Abrams at the Frankfurt Bookfair.
