Kathryn enjoyed a misspent youth playing bass guitar in a clutch of obscure Auckland bands. She has written several plays, completed a script writing course at the Institute for Modern Letters (established by the famous Bill Manhire) before enrolling on a Creative Hub fiction course. She gave a candid account of her experiences on 'Elsewhere' blog hosted by former NZ Herald music editor Graham Reid ...
Kathryn’s short stories have appeared in 'Headland', 'Hue and Cry', 'Pot Roast' and 'Aerodrome'. She has a secret zine project called 'Frisson', and hopes to publish a collection of short stories one day. She has written for the 'Herald on Sunday', and contributed reviews to 'The 13th Floor' and 'Theatreview'.
