Taschen Opens 'Mini-Boutique' at Art Gallery of Ontario. And The Bookman talks to Wallace Chapman about two of Taschen's recent publications.

Shelf Awareness

Taschen Books has opened a "mini-boutique" inside the Art Gallery of Ontario, Quillblog reported, noting that the "shop within a shop" is a first for Canada and is modeled after a similar one at the Art Institute of Chicago. Taschen titles sell well at the AGO, according to Roberta Samec, owner Hornblower Group, the publisher's Canadian sales representative.

Footnote:
Coincidentally I was talking to Wallace Chapman on Radio Live this morning about Taschen and a couple of the most recent titles:

These small but perfectly formed little books are reformatted from their original larger editions, to create a very affordable pocket book. Taschen calls this format the Piccolo, a charming and very fitting name. And at $19.99 they are a bargain.,

Wallace and I also had a chat about top-selling crime fiction writer Jo Nesbo and his likeable, but flawed character Norwegian cop Harry Hole.
