The book touted to be this year’s Fifty Shades-style publishing smash is an altogether less sexy read.Gone Girl, a dark thriller by Gillian Flynn, has sold 2 million copies worldwide (300,000 in the UK since January) and the film rights have been snapped up for £1 million.
It seems you now can’t get on public transport without spotting its black cover and everyone from Sarah Jessica Parker to Reese Witherspoon are fans.

Gone Girl centres on a man accused of murdering his wife.
The Daily Mail book reviews have been favorable. Geoffrey Wansell described it as 'a stunning psychological thriller to send a chill through the heart of every married couple... Read it now, it is that good.'
