Atholl Anderson (Ngāi Tahu) and Aroha Harris (Te Rarawa, Ngāpuhi) talk about new perspectives on Māori history, drawing on their work for Tangata Whenua: An Illustrated History, published on 14 November. ‘One of the most significant books on the Māori world ever written’, in the words of Sir Tipene O’Regan, this first one-volume history of Māori presents a sweeping narrative from ancient origins in South China to the present day.
This free public talk offers an early glimpse into an exceptional new history that is important to all New Zealanders.
