THE ROUNDUP from PW

Large folk have far more enthusiasm than buying power.

Apple Buys BookLamp : Apple has acquired the book analytics and recommendation company in an estimated $10-15 million deal.

Amazon to Open New Warehouses in India: Amazon's Indian unit will open five new warehouses in the country, which will almost double its storage capacity to half a million square feet, the company said in a statement on Monday.

Scholastic to Close Storia : The publisher announced in April that they will be changing their Storia e-book platform from a retail service to a subscription service, and as part of that transition Scholastic recently announced that they are shutting down the retail side of the operation.
