HENRY’S MAP
School Library Journal (USA) names Henry’s Map
one of the Best Books in 2013!
26 November 2013 — Henry’s Map, a
picture book written and illustrated by New Zealander, David Elliot, was named
one of the best books of the year by America’s School Library Journal (the world’s largest reviewer of children’s and young
adult content).
Henry’s Map follows the story of Henry, a very particular
sort of pig, who lives his life by the simple phrase, “a place for everything
and everything in its place.” But when Henry looks out his window, he is
troubled to find that his farm is a mess! Henry embarks on a journey through
the farm, his friends tagging along as he creates his map to show all the
animals exactly where everything belongs.
Praise for Henry’s
Map from major U.S. literary journals:
“Elliot’s
barnyard animals brim with personality and emotion, matching the understated
humor of this charming story.” —Publisher’s Weekly
“This story
may even inspire budding cartographers to map their own world.” —Booklist
