Chorleywood Bookshop in Hertfordshire, which already runs the Chorleywood Literary Festival, is to hold a book festival for children.
Carol Ann Duffy, Rachel Bright, Simon Mayo, Laura Dockrill [pictured] and Jez Alborough are among poets and authors holding events at The Great Little Litfest, which will run from 9th to 15th March and cater for children from primary school age to A Level.

The festival will include a schools programme, a weekend of public events, book groups for children to shadow the Blue Peter Book Awards and children's writing competitions.

Morag Watkins of Chorleywood Bookshop said: "Great Little Litfest is a natural extension of the Chorleywood LitFest and allows us to concentrate on the needs of younger readers, to build a love of reading that will stand them in good stead for all their lives."
