$75,000 contestable funding available now for writers & publishers

Copyright Licensing New Zealand (CLNZ) has today opened applications for writers and publishers to apply for funding to support their writing projects from the CLNZ Contestable Fund – of which $75,000 is available in 2017.

Each year, a portion of the revenue collected by CLNZ is allocated to the Cultural Fund, and is made available for applicants to apply for. Successful recipients for the CLNZ Contestable Fund will receive funding to support their writing projects that have clearly defined and measureable outcomes that align with the Cultural Fund objectives.

Applications are now open.
Applications open 9am, Thursday 1 June 2017
Applications
close 4pm, Friday 30 June 2017
Application form and guidelines are available online here:

Successful recipients will be announced in September.
The number of successful applications varies from year-to-year depending on the individual merits of the applications received. Last year, investments were made into eight compelling projects; three from individual writers and five from publishing organisations that demonstrated writing and publishing or education sector growth and development.
