BOOK LAUNCH
The Earth Cries OutTuesday 14 March 6pm in the bookshop
Bonnie Etherington was born in Napier but spent most of her childhood in West Papua & her experiences there have inspired this exciting debut novel. The personal story of a New Zealand family dealing with grief, & the complexities of living in a vibrant but very different culture, is underpinned by the political story of Indonesian imperialism in the region. Bonnie was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize in 2016. You are warmly invited to celebrate with Penguin Random House & with Bonnie, who will be visiting from the USA. x
