News from the AWF:
Best-selling Eat
Pray Love author Elizabeth Gilbert (left) delivers an inspiring lecture on
creativity in this exclusive Auckland event. Since the publication of Eat Pray
Love and its sequel Committed, Gilbert has continued in her quest to
encourage and inspire creativity in us all. A journalist, novelist and
short story writer, Gilbert’s books include story collection Pilgrims,
the novel Stern Men, and the Eustace Conway biography The Last
American Man and, in 2011, the widely acclaimed novel The Signature of
All Things, a tale of botanical exploration in the nineteenth
century.
Gilbert’s expressiveness and talent for public speaking has seen
her TED talk amass over 10 million views and she is widely listened to via
podcast. Her latest book, Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear, is
a manifesto on how to cultivate and use our imaginations.
Don’t miss
Gilbert in this exclusive one hour event focused on how to live the most
creative life possible, presented by Auckland Writers Festival and Auckland
