David Higham Associates
has acquired Toby
Eady Associates, founded in 1968. "Eady will continue
to work independently" in selling English-language rights, the Bookseller
reports, with DHA taking over rights sales.

announced at an awards ceremony Monday night, with Rita Mae Brown receiving
a lifetime achievement award, presented by Gloria Steinem.

Manchester University Press has acquired 58 academic politics, sociology, and
international relations titles from Bloomsbury Academic after the publisher
decided to cull its list of such topics. Former Bloomsbury senior commissioning
editor Caroline Wintersgill will oversee the transition of forthcoming titles
already under contract through publication on the MUP imprint.
