Please
join us on Wednesday 4 March at 12.15pm for our first public history talk in
2015
Aroha
Harris will talk about new perspectives on Māori history, drawing on the work
she, Judith Binney and Atholl Anderson undertook when writing Tangata
Whenua: An Illustrated History.
Published
by Bridget Williams Books and described by Sir Tipene O’Regan as ‘one of the
most significant books on the Māori world ever written’ this one-volume history
of Māori presents a sweeping narrative from ancient origins in South China to
the present day.
This
free public talk offers a glimpse into an exceptional new history that is
important to all New Zealanders.
