February events at Takapuna Library

An evening with Barbara Ewing  

When: 16 and 17 February
Where: Remuera and Takapuna Libraries

Bring your friends along for a great night out and hear author Barbara Ewing present her latest novel The petticoat men.
This historical novel tells the story of Ernest and Freddie: two young gentlemen who dressed as women and attended balls and public events until they were arrested. The scandal of this event triggered a real life court case,  dangerous vine
Barbara Ewing is a New Zealand-born actress and author who lives in London. She is the author of six historical novels, one of which, A dangerous vine, was longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction.
Enjoy a glass of wine and some light refreshments and settle in for a great night

Copies of Barbara's books will be available for sale and signing, courtesy of Publisher HarperCollins and Bookseller The Booklover.

Come along to meet psychologist Dr Doreen Davy, whose recently published book Emotional life is aimed to give readers skills and strategies to help them master their emotions, and live a healthier, happier and more fulfilling life.
Copies of Doreen's book will be available for purchase and signing.

Join us at 6pm for light refreshments followed by Doreen's talk at 6.30pm.
