Beatnik Publishing Turns Seven

Sally Greer celebrates seven years since she first founded the creative studio and book publishing company Beatnik Publishing.

Beatnik is an invigorating hub of creativity with a talented core staff of designers, photographers and illustrators working together to publish beautiful books.
‘To ensure we fulfil the visions of the authors we work with, every project with us is a complete collaboration,’ says publisher Sally Greer. ‘ We’re known for producing vibrant and meaningful books that are exquisitely designed and intimate in their approach. We are continually expanding our small but perfectly formed catalogue that already spans genres as varied as cookery, children’s tales, poetry, art and street culture.’

With a background in design, Sally was keen to set up a business that produced beautiful books that she could take to the world that combined her love of design and books. Seven years on Beatnik has published many books, including the bestselling RIPE cookbooks, award winning poetry and self-help books, innovate art and photography books, and whimsical children’s books. Sally has also successfully taken the Beatnik books to Frankfurt, securing a number of international deals so some of the Beatnik books are now available in German, complex Chinese, Croatian and Italian - with other possible deals in the wings.

Over the seven years of operation Beatnik has built up a recognisable brand and many authors now approach them as their preferred publisher, based on their reputation for quality books, excellent author care, as well as their collaborative approach to business.

‘The Beatnik team have an amazing wealth of creativity and vision between them, says Angela Redfern, the author of the Ripe Recipe Books. ‘We found that this complemented our ideas beautifully and we were only too happy to be directed as necessary to get the best result.’
