The Ladies’ Litera-Tea was a stunning
success once again – with a full audience who were captivated by the brilliant
presentations from an eclectic mix of authors.
Kim Evans from Little & Friday dashed
in with 200 donuts, Alexa Johnston made jams and preserves hilariously funny,
Christine Fernyhough delighted with her reading from Phylys the Farm Truck, Davinia Caddy shed enlightenment on classical
music, Sarah Laing demonstrated that pictures can go with words in adult
novels, Selina Tusitala Marsh held the audience spellbound with hypnotic poems
from Dark Sparring and Lynley Dodd
enchanted with her ‘doggerel and catterel’.
Book
sales were brisk and despite the abundance of cakes, there was no problem with
sticky fingers!
