Angelina Jolie set for a £31million windfall as book agents battle to publish life story

HOLLYWOOD superstar Angelina Jolie is set to sign a world record £30million-plus deal to write her life story, we can exclusively reveal.

“She has always wanted to do this and believes the time is now right”

At least three US publishers are locked in a battle for the rights to her autobiography.
A source at one confirmed: "Whoever gets her will be sitting on a gold mine.
"Her book is guaranteed to top the bestseller lists in virtually every country on the planet and even an advance of that size would be recouped within weeks."

The 38-year-old Oscar-winning actress, mother-of-six and United Nations goodwill ambassador has told friends she is ready to reveal all in her memoir.
A close pal said: "She has always wanted to do this and believes the time is now right."
The friend added that since Jolie announced she had undergone a double mastectomy in February "she has never known such peace and fulfilment in her life. There are demons in her past but she is in a place mentally and spiritually where she feels comfortable enough to write about them honestly and put them in context.
"No issues - apart from those that might damage her children's privacy - will be taboo."

The astonishing bidding war has already hit an unheard-of $50million, which equates to about £31million, according to our publishing insider in New York.

This is more than three times the advance of £8.7million paid by Simon & Schuster in April to former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her second autobiography.
Her husband, ex-President Bill Clinton, banked £20million for his 2004 autobiography My Life but Jolie's advance would dwarf every other deal of recent years.

Hers is a mind-boggling £30million more than the £1.2million advance fellow actress Demi Moore, 50, has agreed with Harper Collins for her autobiography.
