The sequel to Stephen King's The Shining is here !
Released today worldwide this big ( almost 500 pages) book is arguably the most awaited title of 2013.
Well the wait is over, it is in the bookshops today. Hachette NZ$39.99
Doctor Sleep catches readers up with Danny Torrance, the boy who learned of his telepathic powers and connection to the otherworldly — in other words, he's got "the shining" — before the famous Overlook Hotel burned to the ground, taking his alcoholic father, Jack, with it.
Dan is now middle-aged and working in a hospice in New Hampshire.
Read it as a sequel or as a stand-alone novel; I started reading my copy (didn't intend to as I have other commitments just now), but read the first 19 pages and found it instantly riveting. It will be tomorrow before I can get back to it - bugger!
