  Man Booker and Costa-winner Hilary Mantel could be in line for another prize for Bring Up The Bodies (Fourth Estate), after scoring a place on the Independent Bookseller Award shortlists, with fellow nominees David Walliams and Rachel Joyce thanking booksellers for their support.
  
  Joyce’s The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry (Black Swan) is included on the adult shortlist alongside HhHH by Laurent Binet (Vintage); A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki (Canongate); Behind the Beautiful Forevers by Katherine Boo (Portobello); and The Etymologicon by Mark Forsyth (Icon Books).
  Last year’s Orange Prize-winner The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller (Bloomsbury) has also made the shortlist, along with three books from Faber—Capital by John Lanchester, Flight Behaviour by Barbara Kingsolver and Walking Home by Simon Armitage.
  
  Children’s shortlisted titles included Gangsta Granny by David Walliams (HarperCollins), Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever by Jeff Kinney (Puffin) and The Secret Hen House Theatre by Helen Peters (Nosy Crow).
  David Walliams said: “Thank you . . . to all independent bookshops and booksellers for how hard and passionately they work to support and sell books. I'm grateful to you for the huge part you've played in the success of my books and delighted to be a part of IBW 2013.”
  
  Rachel Joyce added: “What has moved me most of all in the publishing process is the passion and commitment with which the independent booksellers have embraced [Harold Fry]. Without this commitment to new writing from the booksellers and this inventive flair for sales, I fear that books like mine wouldn't stand a chance.”
  Independent members of the BA selected their best 10 adult and 12 children’s books for 2013 from a list submitted by publishers. The winning books will then be chosen by two judging panels comprised of authors, broadcasters and booksellers, and chaired by BA president Patrick Neale, with the winner announced at the start of IBW on 29th June.
  Shortlisted titles will be promoted by and to all participating bookshops in the UK and Ireland during Independent Booksellers Week and shortlisted authors will have the opportunity to participate in bookshop events as part of IBW.
