Poems in the Waiting Room

In September we'll be celebrating our 20th edition and 5th birthday with a PoArtry exhibition at Bellamys Gallery in Macandrew Bay, Dunedin. 
Last year's exhibition, When North meet South was a great success. Southern artists created artworks, designer dresses, jewellery, pottery..... in response to a selection of haiku from North Island poets. 
This year we've invited artists from around New Zealand to choose one of 50 poems which we've selected from the 180 that have appeared in our cards over the last five years. They're then free to create a work in response to their chosen poem. Poems in the Waiting Room will take a commission from every sale and this will help us move further northwards with our project.

I'll be updating the blog on a regular basis with artist and poet interviews, information, artwork and poems.
