Industry statistics show Nigellissima: Instant Italian Inspiration has
shifted just 161,823 copies since it went on sale in September.
The sales of the television chef’s latest release are reportedly down by more
than a third compared with her previous title, Kitchen.
The cookbook is also languishing outside the top 20 in the Christmas book
charts despite a blaze of publicity and a BBC Two series of the same name.
In stark contrast, Jamie Oliver has recorded his third consecutive Christmas
number one with his latest feature 15 Minute Meals, which was released at
the same time as Nigellissima.
Mr Oliver's book sold 117,911 copies last week compared to almost 18,000 for
Nigellissima.

Well I am am trying to get a copy local of Nigellissima. Nigella rocks, 3 generations of my family adore her.Jamie is great to and more people are trying to cook quickly after work which is why his book has gone great. Shame the publishers released both at the same time. Carole NZ
