Last Thursday at Unity Books
Wellington we experienced a truly musical lunch hour. Shop musicologist Colin
Morris interviewed his fellow Dominion Post reviewer Simon Sweetman on his
freshly printed On Song – Stories Behind New Zealand’s Pop Classics.
It’s a savvy and personal collection of pop songs accompanied by plenty of
previously unseen photographs and interviews along with a choice selection of
performers and writers. It was a fascinating event and one thoroughly enjoyed
by everyone who could attend.
