From the spoken word of Sam Hunt, to the guitar and
song of Chuck Berry – the 2012 festival will be an opportunity to explore the
extraordinary world of words and culture. Words come to life in this year’s
programme of performances, discussions, workshops and films.
Not only at the heart of books, words and storyline
are critical to screen play. Take a behind the scenes look at an extraordinary
film with Waiheke based film maker Stephanie Bennett. Stephanie presents the
“making of” documentary of her signature film Hail! Hail Rock ‘n’ Roll
featuring Chuck Berry, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Julian Lennon and Linda
Ronstadt - people who changed music forever. A fundraising event
for the Waiheke Cinema going digital.
