Novelist Stephen King announced that he will publish Doctor Sleep on September 24, 2013.
Scribner and Hodder & Stoughton will publish the book, a sequel to The Shining. While accepting the Mason Prize at George Mason University last year, King read an excerpt from the sequel (video embedded above).

In the book, Danny is a hospice worker who uses his powers to help ill patients to pass away without pain.
