This is to advise that Anne Rodda
has resigned from her position as General Manager of the Auckland Writers and
Readers Festival. Anne has contracted to the festival since 2008, and has been
instrumental in delivering growth strategies that have resulted in record
levels of grants and sponsorships, and extended the festival’s audience. She
has also delivered improvements to the quality of Board reports and developed
important internal systems - she leaves the organisation in a stronger position
not just financially, but also administratively.
Having completed a governance
training course in 2011, Anne has been approached regarding commercial
opportunities, and has decided it’s time to expand her experience.
Anne contracts to the festival
part time, and has kindly agreed to continue with us until the end of the year,
which will allow us time to recruit for the GM role, and ensure a smooth
transition.
There will be a send-off for Anne
in due course. In the meantime, I’m sure you will join me in thanking Anne, and
in wishing her every success for this new stage in her career.
