Gecko Press announce a new Margaret Mahy title for October

Like the rest of the country - and the international children's book world - we were terribly sad to learn of Margaret Mahy's death earlier this week.   Gecko Press is honoured to be publishing one of her final books, a  hilarious, vivacious picture book with illustrations by fellow Cantabrian Gavin Bishop.   Margaret and Gavin had spoken for years of collaborating on a picture book project, and Mister Whistler is the result. Margaret didn't get to see the finished book, but Gavin showed her his artwork over lunch a short time ago. The book will be released in October.
